Jacquie is innately stylish, with an incredible eye for design and a gift for putting together schemes with a creative twist.  This talent has been cultivated through her constant exposure to creativity. 

After studying fashion design at the Pretoria Technicon, leaning into production, styling and beauty therapy was a natural extension for her. Jacquie enjoyed a successful career in the fashion industry for 10 years before settling into her true passion of interiors which began in 2006 when Jacquie worked for Hartmann & Keppler Interiors.

Her interior passion was cemented when she joined Country Living Interiors as the buyer and merchandiser which allowed for international travel where she experienced exposure to international trends through the Maison Objet Show in Paris, the Guangzhou Show in China and through sourcing products in both Germany and the USA.  Jacquie has always loved travelling, it provides her with inspiration and she adores discovering new things.

During this period, she developed not only an interest in interiors but the confidence to invent her own interior style.  Jacquie opened Motife Interiors in 2012. Jacquie has enjoyed collaborating with other decorators. Johan Ferreira, Anne Hartmann, Lavinia Hockley and Simone Williamson individual design styles were both a great source of inspiration for her. “Mixing our talents, always extends, grows and challenges one, which results in yet again a unique distinctive result.
